EVENTS & PROJECTS
The majority of my professional experience has been planning and coordinating events of some type. However, this career path also reflects my love for hospitality, engaging others, and outreach. Doing events has provided me with the opportunity to not only bring people together for a common interest, such as seeing their favorite artist, but for a common purpose, like giving back to the community. Below you can take a look at some of the amazing projects I've been able to help plan and execute.

Spark of Love 2016
The 24th year of Spark of Love was presented by ABC7, Southern California Firefighers, and the US Marine Corps. Each year this campaign successfully collects and provides new and upwrapped toys and sports equipment for underserved children in select Southern California counties. This has been one of my most rewarding multi-event projects to have been a part of. In these photos you'll see my involvement in commercial shoots, live broadcasting, and in-person toy collections for the campaign.
Feed SoCal 2017
I was fortunate to be part of the preparation for ABC7's 6th Annual Feed SoCal drive. This campaign strives to provide children with food during the summer months when they are not in school. These photos specifically show my involvement shooting artwork that would be used in commercials and collateral materials.
Cool Kids Luncheon 2017
Nearly every week, ABC7 highlights a student making a difference and a positive impact in his or her community. This bi-annual ceremony was one of my biggest accomplishments. I held lead and contributory responsibility for every detail that needed to be completed including tasks I had never done before such as writing the script for the program.
ABC7 Station Tours
Conducting tours of the KABC Station were always an enjoyable part of my duties. Tours were another opportunity to engage the community, share some knowledge about the station, and hopefully inspire a new generation about the broadcast and media industry. These are just a couple of the many tours I conducted monthly.

Big Show 2013-2015
Big Show is a concert with popular up and coming artists held at the heart of the CSUN campus hosting about 9,000 guests. While I was responsible for coordinating vendor relations at my first Big Show event, I quickly moved to managing hospitality, artist, and backstage logistics for the following years. Big Show proved to be one of the more challenging yet successful and rewarding events I have ever been a part of.
Farmer's Market
Farmer's Market on the CSUN campus is a weekly event that provides local, organic, fresh and prepared foods for students and the community. Games and music make it a great environment for guests around the valley to enjoy. This is the event that led me to become a certified forklift driver.
Earth Fair
Earth Fair is one of my favorite events during the year given my love for living a healthy lifestyle. It is an all-day outdoor campus event open to the entire community that features yoga, crafts, music, giveaways, and interactive activities designed to inform CSUN students and the community of both environmental conservation and world issues facing our society today. Despite contributing to all of the details to execute this event, my main responsibility for this event was recruiting and managing vendors.
Big Lecture
Big Lecture is a yearly event created as an opportunity for students to listen and learn from topics that normal class curriculums won't discuss. This particular event was held with James Franco where my role was to assist with artist hospitality and stage details. A success, it was one of the largest crowds the Valley Performing Arts Center had seen.
Other Events
Throughout the year, CSUN Associated Students holds smaller events for students and the community. One of the most attended community events is Summer Movie Fest, held every Thursday from June to August, accompanied by entertainment and food trucks. Other events include a comedy show and a campus fair aimed at providing students information and resources available on campus.
